CFA

The CFA Institute confers the CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst®) designation and leads the investment profession by promoting high standards of ethics, education, and professionalism for the benefit of society. They provide education and credentialing programs to build market integrity and professional standards of practice throughout the investment management industry. The core investment management industry is comprised of firms engaged in asset management, wealth management, fiduciary asset ownership such as pension funds and endowments, and related regulators and standard setters. The CFA Institute aspires to develop future professionals through credentialing programs that require the application of technical knowledge and an ethical framework to guide decision making.

Earning the CFA® is a highly rigorous process. Fewer than one in five candidates qualifies to become a CFA® charterholder. It takes about 1,000 hours of study, four years of professional experience and successful completion of the CFA® Program exam to earn this distinction. In addition, CFA® charterholders are required to annually attest to their compliance with the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct. The CFA® credential is the professional standard of choice for more than 31,000 investment firms worldwide (www.cfainstitute.org).
